Frederick L. Sabido, MD, FACS, is a well-versed robotic general surgeon and surgical oncologist who diagnoses and treats patients at his cutting-edge private practice in Staten Island and Hazlet, NY. The practice was established in 1998 and focuses on robotic general surgery and robotic surgical oncology. Furthermore, Dr. Sabido serves as Director of MIS and Robotic Surgery and Program Director of Advanced GI/MIS Surgery Fellowship at Richmond University Medical Center in Staten Island, New York (2010 – Present). He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at SUNY Downstate Medical Center (2010 – Present) and Director of Robotic Surgery for Surgicore Surgical Centers in East Rockaway, NY (2019 – Present). Prior to his current endeavors, Dr. Sabido was the Director of the Center for Robotic Surgery at Hackensack Meridian Health Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy, NJ, and the System Director for the General Surgery Robotics Program at CarePoint Health Christ Hospital. As a robotic surgeon, he performs many types of complex procedures with more precision, flexibility and control than is possible with conventional techniques. Frederick L. Sabido, MD, FACS, attended New York University School of Medicine, and received his medical degree in 1989, after earning his Cum Laude Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science in 1987 from the BS MD program at Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education at CUNY. Furthermore, Dr. Sabido conducted his general surgery residency at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School (1989 – 1993), followed by a second residency in general surgery completed at Staten Island University Hospital (1994 – 1996), where he served as Chief Resident. In addition, Dr. Sabido received board certification in general surgery from the American Board of surgery. He remains in good standing with the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Moreover, he attained Surgical Review Certification as Master Surgeon in Robotic Surgery and Master Surgeon in Hernia Surgery, as well as Surgical Review Certification as an accredited Surgeon of Excellence in Robotic and Hernia Surgery.
